WELCOME TO IRON FRIENDS!

Do you know without a doubt that GOD LOVES YOU?  He wants a personal love relationship with you. God loves you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to take your punishment for sin and die on a cross.  God raised Jesus from the dead. God's will for you is to believe in Jesus Christ. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and God raised Him (Jesus) from the dead.  Will you believe?  Eternal life is yours through Jesus Christ.

Welcome to Iron Friends.  My name is James Swan and in obedience to God, I started ironfriends.org.  God put this name in my mind back in 1995 after I read Proverbs 27:17: “Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his Friend.” (AKJV)  Learn more ...

I believe that God's purpose and assignment for Iron Friends is to let men know that they are not alone as they face life's challenges. We all have had disagreements with our wives. We all have had some kind of disappointing moment with our children, other family members, other church members, co-workers, and with ourselves. We all have been tempted in various ways. These situations don't make us bad Christian men, husbands and fathers. God can work through these situations to demonstrate to us that He truly loves us. God's desire is to develop a personal love relationship with you. But the enemy - Satan - wants men to believe the opposite.

Satan will use these situations to cause men to isolate themselves. This is his strategy. He wants men to believe that they can work things out by themselves. He wants men to think that what they have done is so bad that there is no way other Christian men could ever understand. Satan knows that when a large number of men think this way, they will isolate themselves and never ask for prayer or share their struggles with another man. It should be of great encouragement to realize that the Lord saved other men - we don't have to walk this Christian journey alone. We must submit to the Lord and He will use each of us to sharpen one another. We all need Iron Friends.  Iron Friends are men who humble themselves and pray constantly.
