The human family is God's idea. He made Adam, and from Adam, God made Eve and gave her to Adam to be his wife. He told them to be fruitful and multiply. Basically, he told them to start a family. We encourage you to use God's Word to write your family's scripture verses to live by. Memorize them and live by them every day as a family to bring honor and glory to God. May the verses below encourage and inspire you and your family to seek God's face above all things and make a declaration of dependence.
My brothers, now is the time for us Christian men to stand up for our families and fully engage the enemy. STOP reacting! STOP retreating. The Bible says, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7 NKJV). There is no verse in the Bible that tells us to flee from the devil. STOP fleeing! We are men of God! We are more than conquerors! (Romans 8:37 NKJV) We are VICTORIOUS! Our families need us to become Family Knights. Like the knights of old, the Family Knight pledges to serve the King of Kings with his whole life. He devotes himself to advancing the purposes of his King.
Holy, Interdependent Spiritual (H.I.S.) Family
As a Family, we know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.
We will clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. We’ll bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another as the Lord has forgiven each of us. Over all these virtues, we will put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
We will let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as we sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. Whatever we do, whether in word or deed, we’ll do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. We will devote ourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in You.
As a Family, we will submit to God and obey His Will; and He will surely make us –H.I.S. FAMILY.
