DECLARATION OF DEPENDENCE
In these last days, days of decadence and desolation pressed by the endless pursuit of that unattainable prize – independence- we are confident through faith that Almighty God has put our family together to love and trust Him. Our God is Jehovah-jireh, for He alone provides all that we could ever need. Now, through Jesus Christ, the only Lord and Savior of our family, we boldly declare our dependence on God…
FOR HIS LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.
FOR SALVATION AND HOPE
If you will confess that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Happy is he who, … whose hope is in the Lord, his God; … May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit…which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
FOR FORGIVENESS AND MERCY
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and plenteous in mercy unto all those who call upon thee. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting.
FOR COMFORT AND SECURITY
For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress, my God; in him will I trust.
FOR HIS WORD, TRUTH, AND GUIDANCE
For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done truth. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name sake. For this God is our God forever and ever, he will be our guide, even undo death.
FOR OUR DAILY NEEDS
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. (Jesus said), “take no thought for your life, saying what shall we eat, or what shall we drink; nor yet for your body, what shall we put on. Is not life more than meat, and the body than clothes? But, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
TO ANSWER OUR PRAYERS
This is the assurance we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know he hears us – whatever we ask- we know that we have what we ask of Him.
FOR ONE ANOTHER
(Jesus Said)…”my command is this: love each other as I have loved you.” Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God … since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
FOR STRENGTH AND VICTORY
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trust in Him… thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
TO MAKE EVERYTHING WORK
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. For nothing is impossible … with God… all things are possible. The Lord works out everything for His own ends.
